Tri-Parish Youth Group
How We Got Started:
Father Mike Tix and a team of parish members including Kate Esser, Laura Kurzawski, Sandra Bauer, and Cassie Bauer have been working for quite some time on starting our very own Youth Group which is designed to bring the youth of our community closer to the Lord and grow in their faith, while building leadership skills and of course having fun. We have a wonderful support network in our parishes who are connecting us all today. The Tri-Parish Youth Group is an amazing opportunity directed toward the youth, who are building our tomorrow, to help them build their faith today!
Our Purpose:
The group has been created with this simple theme in mind: ‘Come Follow Me’. The Tri-Parish Youth Group is directed towards students and youth in grades 9-12. The events are filled with games, faith filled messages, discussion, worship, and end with pizza and fellowship. We have taken a field trip to the Net Center to participate in a Lifeline mass, crafted Christmas cards for those in the community who could use a little extra love, and have had guest speakers come in to share their testimony and advice. In the future we hope to do more service projects, field trips, and events for the young children in our parishes.
